The following information outlines the measures taken by Sageworks, Inc. to safeguard customer information.

1) Anonymity: The first measure of safeguarding the confidentiality and security of confidential client data is to not require a customer name in the input area of any of our programs. Sageworks does not require a client name to be entered to generate an analysis. We also recommend in our training sessions that a "code name" be used when submitting data for analysis.

Sageworks is interested in aggregate statistics for industry groups, not specific company data. We keep and aggregate your report data so we can build and continually improve our industry benchmark database. We will never sell personally identifiable information, and we agree to maintain the confidentiality of your information. However, Sageworks will and does publish aggregate industry information based upon data entered. For example, any data input that is classified as being in the residential building construction industry, will be used (in anonymity) to produce aggregate data and benchmarks for that specific industry code. Do not enter data into our systems or use our applications if you do not want your data being used in this manner or contributed to our aggregate database.

Please note: If you have purchased a ProfitCents subscription and are uncomfortable with Sageworks collecting your data, please contact us at 866.603.7029 option 1. Do not use ProfitCents if you disagree with Sageworks aggregating data.

2) Security: Sageworks employs industry-recognized security safeguards to help protect the personally identifiable information that has been provided to us from loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration. Secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information entered through our web interface so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. Therefore, all of the business and financial data that is entered into the ProfitCents system is encrypted through the industry standard SSL.

In addition to SSL security, a VeriSign Security Certificate is applied on our web site's servers to protect the confidentiality of your information. VeriSign, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRSN) is headquartered in Mountain View, CA and is the leading provider of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certificate solutions used by enterprises, web sites, and consumers to conduct secure communications and transactions over the Internet and private networks.

Please go to http://www.verisign.com to learn more about this certificate.

Sageworks further protects personally identifiable information stored on our servers by using industry standard computer security products, such as firewalls, as well as carefully developed security procedures and practices.

3) Control of customer data: Users of ProfitCents have full control of all the data that is submitted for analysis. If users would like to delete a data set at any time for security reasons or any other reasons, they may do so through a web account.

Sageworks, Inc. commits to maintaining the above measures and to working with our customers with monitoring programs and modifications to address any security concerns.
